D'Captured is an exceptionally talented pyrography artist, renowned for creating stunning and evocative artworks. Always experimenting with new mediums and techniques, he consistently pushes the boundaries of his craft. The Beginning Of A Passion
After experiencing homelessness in 2022, D'Captured discovered his love for pyrography. With the support of Crisis, he was able to secure a home for himself and his children and attend a pyrography session. From the moment he began, he found a sense of focus and relief from the pressures of his past. That initial spark quickly grew into a deep passion. Over the following months, his skills developed rapidly, and experimenting with different mediums and techniques pushed him to set high standards for his work. Each new project became an opportunity to challenge himself and expand the boundaries of his creativity.

Rekindling A Childhood Passion
From a young age, D'Captured loved painting animals, flowers, superheroes, and all manner of creations. However, an incident with a school art teacher in Year 9 caused him to lose his love for drawing for enjoyment. For a time, he only created art when his mental health was at extreme highs, producing colourful, nature-inspired designs, or at lows, producing dark, gothic, and morbid pieces. Over time, he largely stepped away from art, exploring other creative outlets such as welding, graphic design, and video editing. Yet, none of these fully reignited his creative spirit. It was only after discovering pyrography that he felt inspiration return, bringing back the nostalgic joy of creating freely, much like he did as a child.
